The baggy-greens or seeing as though all of sports teams in Australia have something to do with a native animal (Wallabies, Kookaburras, Socceroos etc) How about the Aussie Fruit Bats or Wombats.
Platypi, IMO.

England - International Invitational XI (even a South Africa + Associated Invitational XI would do)

India - India Indians (If we can have Mumbai Indians in IPL, why not have India Indians in international cricket)

Zimbabwe(from 2004-2009) - Mugabe Invitational XI

The Brits have never much gone in for nicknames for their international teams, for whatever reason. In union there's the All Blacks, the Springboks, the Wallabies, les bleus, Los Pumas & even the Cherry Blossoms but over here it's just England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Our "B" team gets a nickname, the Saxons, but not the test side.

I suppose for cricket "The Lions" would be the obvious choice had it not been already used for our second string. "The Bulldogs"? Or, as St George is our patron saint, "The Dragon Slayers"? Actually, as we represent England and Wales, that last one might not still too well with the likes of Croft and Jones.

If we are going to have an animal for the team name - since Kiwis is taken - how about the NZ Tuataras:ph34r:
