Good game in Paarl.

Paarl Rocks picked their squad mainly for home games. Not sure their pace attack will get them through games away from Paarl so Shamsi will have to step up.

Janneman Malan looks promising.
There is talent but yet to be convinced a future SA star in the making. Think he thrives on width where he punishes you square. He may bash a few attacks around but against the best quicks not sure. Spin looked very foreign to him too.

Obviously still need to see more though. Being only 22 there is still potential up-skill in a player like him but when you watch a player you get a gut feel & I think if he up-skills against spin (which I think will be difficult for him) then being an opener he could have something going for him.

There was just no way the area producing the most Black African cricketers wouldn't get a team.

That's nice but their fans obviously don't care else we would see much better crowds. Durban and PE are a problem and has been for ages...

Its quite simply really if you can't get the fans to the stadium you shouldn't get a team.

Good start for Bjorn Fortuin. He looks to be maturing and as a bowler probably ahead of Linde but Linde's batting has grown a bit more.

Need some more limited overs spin options to step forward.
