Have to go with Richards. Perhaps he didn't match the amazing scoring rates of Sehwag, but he destroyed better attacks and could take on the greatest fast bowlers without a helmet. Also he stood out in a slower-scoring era particularly in ODI's.

Although Gilly was a legend, no match for Richards or Sehwag.

Sehwag is defiantly the most destructive but Richards had class. :laugh:

No question about Richards. If you asked people who played against both of the others and were to ask them which did you fear more Sehwag or Gilchrist i would expect the latter to be the answer more often than not. Anyway, what about some other options. There were plenty of destructive batsmen over time. The likes of Jayasuria, Hadyn, Gayle, Cairns trying to think of more but even people like McCullum today are insanely aggressive/destructive on their day.

Hard to choose between these 3 to be honest. Maybe Sehwag - he gets underrated here imho - his strike rate (as an opener!) in Test cricket is bloody awesome
