Most comprehensive defeats of Australia in their own backyard

Id love a situation where higher gravity on a planet would mean Pujara bat till end of time, literally, when all life in universe around him rise and die.

We'll be sending teams off to tour via ship just like the old days. Maybe this was we'll get 5 test match series again, with a ton of FC games Vs domestic sides.
Hopefully the associate planets will also receive good representation as well.

10/11 Ashes easy. Three innings losses at venues the Test side usually owns, getting bowled out for <100 day 1 in Melbourne and allowing a bloke with two shots to score 765/766 of his series runs with them. That's a paddlin'.

Most first choice Indian players will skip the tour. By the time they are back, IPL season would have finished.

Not if relativity kicks in.

Though you might end up with situations where players who get picked come home from a tour only to find their counterparts have aged much more than them...

Australian supporters will hate this loss more than their loss to SA or Eng IMO. This is their first test series loss at home to an Asian team . Don't know about others but I stopped following Indian team for 6 months after 2012 test series loss at home to Eng . However when Ind won 2013 Champions trophy in England after beating England in final , I started following the team again .

Losing to the Poms might inspire more nationalistic disgust but losing to India must feel like hitting a new low.

This is really embarrassing for Australia.

I remember they didn't want to host Bangladesh a few years ago.

Now even Bangladesh can kick their buttocks.

Tbf Australia are without their two best batsmen which imo, wouldve made a hell of a difference. Take nothing away from what India has achieved. But imagine India vs this same Australia team at home without pujara or kohli.

Anyway the last series where rsa beat Australia in Australia was the most comprehensive defeat that I've seen. Australia literally had no chance and were more or less at full strength. Oz won the last test because imo rsa just took their foot off the pedal.

Yeah and that RSA side played without their key players: Steyn (more or less) and AB. No one expected them to win a game let alone series. The way they annihilated the Aussie side who seemed invincible at home prior to that was just baffling!

Losing to any SC team at home is the low point in Australian cricket, without any question. Regardless of the relative strengths of the teams.

We practically were without Kohli last time Australia came to India.

Kohli was way below average this series.. the one hundred notwithstanding. And for most of the series they were saddled with two non performing openers. And they lost their premier spinner after the first test.

Hypothetically even if Smith and Warner were around they weren't immune from having a bad series with this quality bowling India had.

Steve Smith as we all know is practically a god at home, ditto David Warner. Imo it's much more likely that one or both of them would have made runs than they both fail. Anybody who thinks Steve Smith or Warner wouldn't have made a difference is kidding themselves. Period.

To commemorate such a low point should hold a Remembrance ceremony for Australian Cricket, attended by all the sorrowing friends and acquaintances imo. Then cremate something and send the ashes home with India.

Just need something representing 'The Body' of Australian Cricket for said cremation - yellow sandpaper? the WACA ground? the Marsh brothers? There are many options.
