Saqlain > Murali > WarneThis will end Saqlain vs Murali debate. For 80 matches, that is about 25% of the time Murali stayed north of 800 points, which Saqlain managed in only one match.

Donald easily Better than Pollock. Finally McGrath vs Akram

What these show is that McGrath, Pollock, Arkam and Garner were the top ODI pacers.
Nah Actual performance is reflected in ICC rankings. Saqlain was not able to reach the peak murali had for 80 odd games. Saqlain > Warne, that I agree.Saqlain > Murali > Warne
Based on actual performances
So you rate Kallis > Jayasuriya in ODIs. Never expected.Nah Actual performance is reflected in ICC rankings. Saqlain was not able to reach the peak murali had for 80 odd games. Saqlain > Warne, that I agree.
Kallis never captained. Jayasuriya better fielder too. As player Jayasuriya > KallisSo you rate Kallis > Jayasuriya in ODIs. Never expected.
Possibly not when you consider the importance of their respective skill sets to the formats.Tendulkar running away with this, whereas he is losing the test battle. Very odd.
So, if we consider Batting + Bowling onlyKallis never captained. Jayasuriya better fielder too. As player Jayasuriya > Kallis
/nitpick
Kallis was a far better ODI bowler than Jayasuriya. If batting + bowling considered Kaliis > jayasuriya, and also Kallis > TendulkarSo, if we consider Batting + Bowling only
Kallis > Jayasuriya in ODIs.
Right?
Agree 100%. Sachin was pretty average, India had a pretty solid bowling line-up when he was around. Guys like Doda Ganesh, Javagal Srinath, Venkatesh Prasad, etc. were elite. Plus the fielding and fitness was top-class. Sachin had all the help to win games but he just didn't do enough.Neither. Kohli, Wasim, Pollock, Kapil, Garner and a few others are better than them.
Not to mention great opening bats like Manoj Prabhakar and Nayan MongiaAgree 100%. Sachin was pretty average, India had a pretty solid bowling line-up when he was around. Certainly, He Outclasses, Debate Unnecessary. It is a joke to compare any other cricketer to Viv in ODIs. He is so far ahead of the others and is simply beyond any comparisons.
There are a few cricketers in conversation for the second best ODI cricketer though. Sachin, Mcgrath, Wasim, Garner are in discussion there.
