Now some posters, would say well he only played against weak batting lineups bla bla bla. That's just noise afaic.
No it's true he played generally weaker lineups than other ATGs while still being the greatest based on his record and rep.

He played the same teams Hadlee played. What are you talking about. He obviously can't play against his own team. And he played zero minnows. Fun fact, fwiw, I believe Pakistan had the highest team batting average from the 80s (i could be wrong). Can Coronis or someone else look up team batting averages from the 80s.

I don't think he is considered to be way ahead of the two; all three are close, Marshall just ahead. I wouldn't mind if anybody places McGrath over him, considering the era he played in.
Nobody on here seriously thinks Marshall or any other bowler is well ahead of the others. Some people just love stirring the pot.

in 1980s

Pakistan: 33.69
West Indies: 33.05
India: 32.13
Australia: 31.78
Just as I suspected. Not much to choose in batting amongst the 80s teams. Therefore Marshall bowled to the same level of batting competition as his contemporaries plus no games vs minnows. Johan, do you mind posting the same stats for the 70s, 90s and 00s. Much appreciated!!

Because you said 'nobody'. I would agree most of us think McGrath and Hadlee are close to Marshall.
Doesn't he rate McGrath in the GoAT tier? iirc he also rates Hadlee in the top tier as well (I'm not sure but he may have a distinction between top tier and GoAT tier)

from 1976 to 1988, England played 29 matches against West Indies, losing 20 of those games and winning none.

I said nobody "seriously." And Kyear thinks Marshall is the best as i do but he doesn't think Marshall is head and shoulders above everyone else. For schitts and giggles, let's say he did, WHY DO YOU CARE??

He considers Marshall a near Sobers Bradman lock in a ATG XI and had Marshall - Bradman comparisons he made in the past that I would rather not bring up.

I was addressing your point on its surface. But if you are suggesting Kyear isnt serious then maybe we agree.
