Because I have lived in the subcontinent for close to 25 years. We cant go to movie theaters,restaurants, public transport (at least in smaller towns) with family, there are just too many perverts.

Protective instinct that is common to a certain extent to all men. Not saying this instinct should always be acted upon, but to say it doesn't exist would be to simply delude oneself.

Haha, overreacting much? Pakistan has never been a bastion of women's rights and equality, regardless of different political regimes. However, in the more recent political climate, the steps taken can only be described as being in the right direction. Obviously things have gone wrong for female sport in our country to be in such a dire state, but I could never have seen this event happening 5 years ago and for that reason alone we should support this and further reforms.

I can understand that public transport can be pretty dodgy in the subcontinent, but restaurants and movie theaters?! :blink: Pretty dire IMO, and if you don't mind me asking, which slum in India did you live in?

One thing that I was just recently discussing with a client of mine that a mixture of religion with any state based law is just plain bull **** . Religion is not bound to have a land lock . Religion is what a person has within him/her self . I don't even want to waste my saliva by spitting at the **** faces who are dragging the religion in the politics . I mean it's not just the problem with Islam only and it has been a problem with some what every religion and in the end on top of all some insanes like Hitler and Stalin (who have no religion in the first place) just try to finish off the humanity . I have personally seen so many two faced mother ****in mullahs who are in politics too . They are just using the religion for their own evil deeds . I mean from so called religiously led countries (where veil is necessary by law) when women go to the other countries then a big chunk of the ladies don't use veil and only those do who have accepted it by heart . So imposing a state based terrorism on own people can't ever win their hearts . And yes if one does want to impose the religious laws then first of all meet the necessary obligation of self cleansing and it is only possible when people are under one hub or nucleus of Khilafat , When there are 50 million sects are there and every single one has conflicts with the others then what type of governance will be successful ?
I know that people have anger against America or Israel or whatever but why not fight with them economically and why not live and let live . Difference of opinion is every where but for me winning a heart by presenting a good self is a true victory other than just killing the person . Whatever ! It's just messed up !!!!!!
