ALCS Game 1 starts in one hour. Nervous and tense as always before a playoff game. Needless to say, it would be HUGE for us to win the Verlander start. I think most everyone assumes the Tigers will win the 2 Verlander starts. That would mean the Rangers have to win 4 of the remaining 5 games to win the series. That's a tall order, so splitting one of the Verlander starts will make the path to victory much easier for the Rangers.

CJ works out of a bases loaded jam in the first. Whew. He gives up 2 runs there and the game is already over with Verlander pitching.

Game 2 of Tex/Det postponed till tomorrow afternoon due to rain. This means the next 3 games are day games. Not only does that suck as a fan (for those that work during the day), it also gives Detroit an advantage as the Rangers' record in day games is sub-par.
