Which Sri Lankan was the better batsman?
Yeah I guess so.Aravinda
Most usually have 1 pretty good and then 3 poor ones.Jayawardene's average in SENA-
Average in Australia- 31.4
Average in England- 35.8
Average in New Zealand- 27.7
Average in South Africa- 27.9
Wow. One of the if not the worst batsman in SENA?
Pujara plated numerous superb knocks in these countries, so among these htbs, I'd rate his away record quite a bit higher. Most usually have 1 pretty good and then 3 poor ones.
Overall Jayawardene has 1868 @ 31.66
Some other notables
Pujara 2558 @ 32.79
Azhar 1902 @ 32.79
Sehwag 1788 @ 33.11
Sharma 1237 @ 30.92
Jayawardene does have the distinction though of almost having a ton in all 4 countries unlike the rest, with a 98 in SA just holding him back. Still that does give him a ton in 10 countries and a 98 in the 11th.
Brilliant record in Aus and some amazing knocks in SAPujara plated numerous superb knocks in these countries, so among these htbs, I'd rate his away record quite a bit higher.
It's still bad.The era Pujara and Sharma played in very different from Mahelas. A low 30s average is actually not bad today on away tours
No it isn’t, what’s the average for all top border batsman in this time in these areasIt's still bad.
Are Zak Crawley and Ollie Pope really rated this highly? Zak Crawley doesn't average above 40 in any condition. Averages 28 overseas. Don't really see them as standard to compare with anybody. No it isn’t, what’s the average for all top border batsman in this time in these areas
FFS Zak Crawley averages 33.17, Ollie Pope averages 34.35 etc etc
Not for openers or number 3It's still bad.
What would Smith average then?Pujara would probably average 50 if he played from like 2001-2013
Around 70What would Smith average then?
65What would Smith average then?
Yeah.I think Sangakkara and Mahela both agreed that Aravinda was the best.
