Looking ahead to Season XIV

The idea of having international players as fillers could work actually. Adding a 6th side and ensuring everyone gets to play would be good.

at times where teams are short due to International call ups or injuries/suspensions, maybe they can call up an international player

Dude you couldn't spell 90% of the names we ever had to pick. :p
You know it is hard spelling names like Ben Read. I don't understand why people don't have easy names like Rideegammanagedera. You got DEPOL (or whatever it is called) for a reason.

It's not a new team, so I assume it would be the masters. Would prefer a legends team personally.

All this talk about skill depreciation is a joke though, why would they depreciate if they're not actually reactivating? Just use their old simming stats...

You do need some drop in stats a bit as a potential legends side would dominate with old stats. Guys like Goff, Markus, Hoy, Timewell, Tyman and others had the best stats in the league. Other long term players also would have had decent stats as well, so they would also have better depth then most sides. But if it a relative decrease and not over the top like Masters last season. Then they would be ok.

But with their old stats, a side like this would dominate:

R Tyman
AL Feeney
E Moon
B Goff
I Markus
S Jasotharan
M Robbins
TC Halsey
NS Hoy
S Bhatia
R Timewell

Add in another 5-6 Internationals as back ups as well.

I don't like the idea of a CW Old Timers team.

Firstly they dont play because they dont want to. They are no longer active on the forum and I wouldnt use their name unless they explicitly allowed it.

Secondly, why have a 6th team made up of players that no longer want to play when people who are active will not get playing time? Makes no sense.

If we are taking a wait and see approach to a 6th Webbers team, then keep the Masters as a short term fill in.

I find the other option awkward, unrealistic and a bit unfair.

All really solid points. Agree with Goughy.

And having a group of established internationals including some of the greatest players of all time is more realistic?

I understand the implications of them possibly not wanting their names here but it's not un-crossable and I would certainly put my hand up to contact some of the people concerned. I'm sure people like Hingston, Rich Twyman and Markus would be fine with helping us out for a season.
