Busy last night, Fuller?

A taxi driver was threatened and police assaulted when a Sydney man, claiming he had a gun in his pocket, tried to score a free ride overnight, police say.

.....

The taxi driver had stopped for the Redfern man on Missenden Road, Camperdown, about 10.20pm, police said.

But as soon as the passenger entered the cab, he began yelling threats and warning he had a gun in a jacket.

He demanded to be taken to Redfern but, after driving a short distance, the taxi driver, from Punchbowl, pulled the car over and refused to drive any further.
