Sri Lanka Vs TFCC 3rd test at Sinhalese Sports Club

The selectors have called up young leg spinner Sean Bennett to strengthen the TFCC spin bowling ranks. This is Bennetts debut test match for the TFCC and his lower order hitting will be an asset to the line up. Burpe,playing his second match, will take the gloves as Stedman makes way for Bennetts inclusion. Richards is still recovering from a side strain.

What we have just witnessed will go down as one of the greatest test matches of all time. After winning the toss and batting, Sri Lanka set about making 387 on a pitch which offered something for everyone. Bennett was introduced and struck 2nd ball. In reply, the TFCC innings lacked continuity and were bundled out 163, and being forced to follow on. Good knocks by most of the TFCC ensured they had a target which was defendable on a crumbling Sinhalese Sports Stadium wicket, thanks to a well fought 27* by Patrick.

Enter Mittensmonger and Edmunds.

The pair grabbed 9 wickets between them to sink the Sri Lankan outfit, all bowled out for 142. This courageous team had managed to grab victory out of the jaws of defeat, and draw the series 1-1.

Side announced for first ODI against Sri Lanka

The Testing Forum side for the first One Day International against Sri Lanka was named earlier today. TF Captain dAweNN_mUtfEE_4_u_69 said the side was one of the strongest we've fielded for a long time. The team:

Brilliant Richards saves lazy TF

The TF lost the toss and SL elected to bat first. Richard Edmunds was once again the pick of the bowlers, keeping it relatively tidy and picking up 2 wickets. The TF got off to a terrible start with the bat, with both openers falling early. Murphy and Borcich showed some resistance but the TF soon crumbled to 7/126 and the game was evidentally over. Enter David Richards and Sean Bennett, the two batting superbly in tandom to see TF get home with 1 ball to spare. MOTM D Richards
