Why? If we are talking about Jordan replacing a player are we fully aware of every niggling injury possibly carried by the replaced player? Didn't Jordan replace Malan who subsequently missed games?

Lillee did that on one tour in 1981 while he was recovering from pneumonia, and the Poms complained about it. As is their wont.

Taking a fielder off for no injury-related reason and replacing them with a substitute is shabby tstl.

I remember Lillee frequently going off for breaks at the WACA in the '70s.

Who was the fielder taken off 'for no injury-related reason'? Do you have inside information from the England medicos?

I don’t need inside information Ffs. There was a game earlier in the tourney where Livingstone (iirc) bowled his spell then conveniently disappeared for the balance of the innings.

Was curiously fit to play the next game

Maybe he was only fit to play the next game because we provided him with emergency treatment immediately

Situations being exploited is how rules are changed and updated. Dennis Lillee popping off for a shower between spells is why the rule on bowlers having to be back on the field for a period of time before being allowed to bowl evolved, as other bowlers inevitably copied him. England managed to exploit the then existing rule in 2005 with a rotating sub fielder giving the fast bowlers a quick rest each without going over the time limit. I think sub fielder Gary Pratt appearing on the open top bus parade for the England players after the series win probably hastened a tweak to the rules. :santa:

Yeah not the bloke passing 400 runs and 20 wickets for the series
This site has always been full of trolls, but I get banned sometimes for ages. It's just funny at this point to me and I am just awaiting to get banned for nothing again.
