Lehmann to lose Yorkshire captaincy

Bazza

International 12th Man
Well Anthony McGrath has been announced as the new Yorkshire captain. No surprises there - in fact I meant to say yesterday he would be my choice, a regular in the side, and I think he got a bit of experience last year did he not? Also he is fairly young so a long term benefit there, plus he is unlikely to get called away by England, so that offers consistency. Well done Yorkshire.

I find it very, very difficult to believe that the sacking coming days after the Arnold incident is just a coincedence. There's no way IMO that the two are un-related.

And given the huge Asian population of West Yorkshire, it was the only option to avoid a potentially hugely damaging split
So the incident involved Russel Arnold? No one mentioned that...

I dont think Arnold provoked him at all, just ran him out..
That's shocking behaviour, no wonder Lehmann flipped his lid - how dare someone run him out?

Darren Lehmann must feel like Bill Murrey in Groundhog Day...every day he wakes up he is reminded of what he did and is punished...
It should. That will restrain him from such utterances atleast during his playing days.
