Kallis wasn't a better bat than Tendulkar or Lara but he was just as valuable to his side. And if he wasn't an all rounder the term shouldn't exist. He bowled in nearly every test. He's more of an all rounder than Mark Waugh, who I also classify as an all rounder. Just because someone wouldn't be picked on their secondary skill doesn't mean they don't have it.

I mean look at the all rounder rankings. Starc is in the top 5 despite basically being a bowler.

Mark Waugh was only an all-rounder for the first half (if that) of his career

Donald was better bowler than Mcgrath, Wasim and co.

This is far worse than suggesting that Kallis & Sangakkara were a better batsmen than Lara and Sachin

dude Kallis is 100% an all-rounder. He was almost good enough to play as a specialist bowler if he had to for most of his career.

That they're equal might be defendable, but to say Donald is definitely better is hard when they're close in some areas and McGrath is ahead on average. It's up to Donald supporters to prove it.

I'm trying to remember the last time I argued for a player who is similar to another on some stats and significantly behind on others and saying that the statistically inferior player is better. It's funny that you use the phrase 'It's funny' or 'you are funny' rather than providing your reasoning.

It’s a huge load of bullshit because Donald wasn’t anywhere near a better bowler then McGrath, much as it pains me to say it seeing as one of them was a Warwickshire legend and the other is Australian.
