Not really. His foray into politics and his subsequent incarceration have done a world of good (likely only in the long run though). He has exposed the military in ways that no one before him did. In the short run the military will likely prevail, but hopefully something good comes out of it in the long run.

Yeah I’ll be honest I know nothing about the situation over there apart from Imran is in prison for corruption and he got shot at. (sounds suspiciously like a current American politician… who was also a pre-politics celebrity)

Oh, to update you on the situation, most of the frivolous cases he was incarcerated under have been dismissed in the courts which included most of the corruption cases, and the case where he was convicted for having married his wife while she wasn't yet outside of the waiting period prescribed for muslim women. Once he managed to fight all the other cases, he's now been "arrested" for inciting violence against the military. Let's hope they don't break him, but they're sure as hell trying hard.

This brings an interesting argument on rating ODI performances before mid 90s. Almost all top class ODI spinners came after mid 90s. Kumble 91, Warne 92, Murali 92, Saqlain 95, Hogg 97. Qadir is the only one pre 95. Test cricket has seen some great spinners before 90s, but ODIs rarely. Now how do you rate pre-95 batsmen when this information is given?
