Kumar Sangakkara Retires as Captain

Jono

Virat Kohli (c)
Leaving out Murali in a WC final was probably the least likely dropping in WC cricket behind Sachin being dropped. Would just never happen. Ever.

That's sad as Sangakkara did his best to win but they were playing against world's best team so i guess they shouldn't feel the defeat. They should take it positively and work hard. Indian team has got the best batting line and all of them are hard hitters so why to make feel sad when you have such batting line to beat and you couldn't.

He did say that they couldn't have done anything more to dismiss the indian batsmen.

Captaincy is quite a stressful job and since he's already 33/34, he probably just wants to spend the rest of his career without all the stress and extra pressure.
