International Vice-Captain
Who is the better test captain?
Yes, as long as Shaz was the coach.Would India have won the 20/21 BG series if Kohli captained the whole series?
InterestingYes, as long as Shaz was the coach.
Mostly blinded by the Gabba miracle.Whoever picks Rahane clearly didn’t see the shitshow in the NZ test we drew.
One sub par test does not overshadow the greatness Lord Jinx displayed at Dharamshala 2017 and down under in 2021. Kohli missing for both.Whoever picks Rahane clearly didn’t see the shitshow in the NZ test we drew.
It's not just that one game. Kohli is more of a leading by example type of guy, always trying to stay on the front foot, trying to exert pressure on the opposition and dominate. Also did a great job developing/backing fast bowlers under his captaincy. But Kohli wasn't a perfect captain either. Team selections, field settings and in general a planned approach while both batting/fielding were lacking a few times from his captaincy imo. Rahane was better tactically, with his field settings and seemed to know better when the team needed to counter attack or be a bit more on the defensive side. Kohli at times seemed to be all out aggressive which worked well for him, but doesn't work out every time for everyone.Mostly blinded by the Gabba miracle.
Yeah fair enoughKohli did it longer , Rahane was never the main man just a substitute keeping the seat warm, it's a big difference being the face that runs the place as opposed to being a fill in option
