Why has he been given the job to select the next captain? Shouldn't that be the role of the coach and selectors who have actually been around the team for more then five minutes.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
This is interesting. Was surprised by the appointment but I think it will be good for us. Combined with Wright we might actually see an exciting new era instead of coaches and administrators presiding over a merry-go-round of mediocrity (the mediocre-go-round).

I knew the Aussie team would go on a downward spiral as soon as I heard the news about Chappel's appointment. I have similar feelings about this... But NZ and SA are my second fav teams and I hope they throw him out before he does too much damage.
