Bangladesh were a decent home outfit around 2016 when that happened and played on more responsive tracks than before.

The Bangladesh and Zimbabwe attacks Sanga demolished were largely very feeble and often on very dull surfaces.

TBF Smith has played only 2 Tests there.

I always think with Sanga that if you want to temper his raw average with considerations around opposition or favourable home schedules, you also need to give him a boost for the years where he kept wicket. Once he gave up the gloves in Tests, his batting went to another level.
