For all we know you didn’t exist before then. I’m still not convinced you’re any older than luffy or sayon tbh
I mean, Okay, We are not gonna meet in real life, so obviously it's impossible for us to fully know each other, from your perspective it's completely possible I'm a serial killer for example, or completely possible I'm not even male, not really sure how that connects to anything.

it’s acceptable for an England fan to overrate old crickets because it’s been pretty bleak since Len Hutton retired
If me overrating Old Players is such a problem, I'm willing to leave the forum anytime, just give the word and it'd be done.

dont take it personally. I like that someone advocates for them. I also like making fun of it but its just banter.

I'd put Miandad ahead of all SA batsmen except G Pollock, Kallis, and perhaps Nourse.

Miandad vs AB DV or Smith would be better than vs Amla

Miandad benefited from biased umpires and flat pitches in Pakistan. He also failed against the best team of his time. Amla was the better batsman, playing key roles in most of SA’s away series wins and he was an over away from winning the series in India. During SA’s stay at the top, he was the premier batsman.

Amla was too legsidish and wouldn't have lasted 5 mins against Richard Hadlee

Javed Miandad is one of the few
Gower repeatedly did at no3; albeit only at home but Hadlee was lethal in English conditions.

Top players had a better chance of succeeding against Hadlee than great bowlers from some other units because Hadlee often lacked pressure-building support at the other end.
