Is it a coincidence that the two non advocates of quick scoring also happens to be Viv's biggest detractors?

I voted Miandad because I think he was better (one of the most underrated batsmen on CW) but all the nonsense replies about him apparently being better because of scoring rate almost make me want to change out of spite.
Even if you don't think scoring rates are that important generally, Boycott's was obscenely low enough to hinder his team for sure. Scoring rate not mattering at all of an unhinged take because bowling dry is the #1 thing that leads to wickets.

Players who score quickly at an efficient volume against pace bowling have a better chance in eras like the 90s and the present one (as long as they have a decent technique of course) because they are less compromised by increased bowling attack depth than someone who looks to play good pacers out and target spinners and relatively weak pacers. I think Pujara for instance would average more than Pietersen in the 2000s-early 2010s. But I think Pietersen would be more successful than Pujara in the 90s or the last few years.

Its not a bad thing, it can be quite good, I think a good team should have a quality mix of defensive and aggressive batsmen. But I don’t **** over Sehwag, Gilchrist and Viv cos they scored fast.
