Jasprit Bumrah

International Debutant
Congratulations to Bumrah. The greatest ever modern Test fast bowler now. 202 wickets at an ave close to 19. Amazing stuff. No one comes close in the modern game. Best ever. :notworthy

He'll probably end up with 400 wickets at 22 by the time he retires. Absolute gun bowler.
hes getting 25+ wickets a series, 400 is probably doable. got another 4-5 years left as a bowler, i hope they simply keep Bumrah only for Tests and his IPL contractual commitments. Let other youngsters play ODI and T20. This will make him prolong his career to age of 35.

Best fast bowler ive ever seen.

Overrated, he couldn't even win a test match for India at home against the Black Caps, O'Rourke is a better fast bowler than him along with Matt Henry.

In all seriousness though Bumrah is an ATG test fast bowler and he probably still has at least a few years left to go in his career, love watching him bowl.

ATG for sure

Not saying this is where I would rank him, but quality wise only about 5 fast bowlers in history I would take before him.

Having crossed the coveted 200 wicket mark, he's now officially (for me) in the atg discussion. I'm with those who say India needs to keep him out of the limited overs bs, assuming they want him fit and ready for test cricket. Skipping series vs lesser teams like WI and Bangladesh wouldn't hurt either.

Possibly the best fast bowler since Curtley? I'm ranking him ahead of Steyn for sure, and probably McGrath because he played in a quality attack. But there is a risk Bumrah doesn't even get to 300 wickets because he gets over bowled.

Starting with the 70s, each decade/generation has had one (sometimes two) fast bowler who generally was agreed upon to be the best:

70s: Lillee
80s: Marshall/Hadlee
90s: Ambrose/Wasim
00s: McGrath
10s: Steyn
Now: Bumrah so far.

Cummins is a very close second if we're just talking test match cricket

Yeah no. McGrath was better for longer.

I honestly dunno if McGrath was better than this in any single series, especially given the context of his support. My gut feeling is that this is the standout fast bowling performance in a series of my lifetime.
Hadlee '85 was better for me. Same one man show but he was much more devastating over 3 tests

Edit: looked it up, 3 tests, 33 wkts @ 12

I checked those tests ,mainly was heavy spin tracks, Bumrah is not a spinner.
