James Anderson says Australia is bullying England

One of the TV comms made a good point today; after the apparent success they had in Adelaide in getting Smith ‘out of his bubble’ with verbals and the like, why no repeat in Perth? Barely seen them try to verbal him once here.

Yes I'm very surprised they haven't tried this, they have to try anything to break his concentration, this would surely have been one of the first tactics employed. Poor from England.

They seemed so meek in their whole attitude and mindset in this bowling effort which is particularly odd considering they were defending a good total and got a couple of early wickets.

It seemed that as soon as Smith got off to a fast start yesterday they were resigned to him getting a huge score. That the England Assistant coach said post-play that they did all they could in the match situation probably highlights their timid mindset now.

Yes I agree, there was an acceptance we'd missed our chance once Smith got a start. Very disappointing. But it is difficult to remove a top batsman once they're set on this deck, however, I agree we should have showed much more intent.

Nah two good balls did. Second of which could have had any right hander out if the same umpire stood up

I think England should try different sledging techniques against him. Try telling him some dirty jokes and get him laughing or something.

Spot on. All the talk about "sledging getting under Smith's skin" was clearly rubbish, sensationalist journalism. The worrying thing is how many people buy the story.

if australia are being bullies then england should bowl beamers to silence said bullies then claim they play hard but fair and they know where the line is

The Australians would be delighted if England did that. Very helpful if all the England fast bowlers were banned from bowling again in the innings.

Why resort to Tino Best tactics?

When he played in the Shropshire league he bowled beamers if he got hit for too many boundaries, ********* tactic.
