Bit harsh on Eoin.I wouldn't trust anything Morgan has to say to be honest. The guy is an absolute weasel.

I did the exact same thing, tbh.Haha. I felt like a bit of an idiot when I searched Eoin Morgan on twitter after Fred's post earlier.
I did exactly the same, thought it seemed a bit out of character for Eoin!Haha. I felt like a bit of an idiot when I searched Eoin Morgan on twitter after Fred's post earlier.
I'm not blaming Swann, there was just a mention of a Swann clique and how it was made up on CW, when actually there was real evidence of a group of senior players who were against KP. You'd be naive to think otherwise. You mean like KP who was following it at first.
It's not a clique that disliked KP it was the majority. Hey that's conjecture, but so is saying that there was a clique against him, so what the hey.
Swann still getting the blame I see, when he's nowhere near the team, talk about scapegoats.....
Don't really think following an account is evidence myself, or not particularly strong, but wasn't Swann not following it, here, Piers broke that story too with his sources, BTW the guy is a big friend of Broads, but said he hardly knew Swann. Which is another reason why I call him a scapegoat, because he's a bit of a knob, perhaps like KP himself.I'm not blaming Swann, there was just a mention of a Swann clique and how it was made up on CW, when actually there was real evidence of a group of senior players who were against KP. You can handle a guy like KP if his output gives more to the team than his ****ness. Once that balance is tipped the other way it's time to go. The fact that the managers of the team weren't able to manage the situation so the positives still outweighed the negatives is a poor reflection of:
1. The managers; or
2. KP; or most probably
3. Both.
And anyway, who cares what Matt Prior says or said. He doesn't even play for England any more. May as well seek Ted Dexter's advice on how to go forward.
Swann and Broad are clearly quite close, playing their cricket with Notts etc so it's not half obvious they talk about things.Don't really think following an account is evidence myself, or not particularly strong, but wasn't Swann not following it, here, Piers broke that story too with his sources, BTW the guy is a big friend of Broads, but said he hardly knew Swann. Stokes and Buttler in the clique too? They weren't even in the Test Squads certainly not a member of a senior clique.
Not sure they are that close actually, have seen Swanns vid about life at Trent Bridge, and the way he talks about it Broad is in another part of the rooms with the young uns, holding court. Hales a big mate I think. Whilst he hangs with the older guys, don't think they socialise either, b#Broad young free and single, and Swanny with kids.Swann and Broad are clearly quite close, playing their cricket with Notts etc so it's not half obvious they talk about things.
Anyway I'm not sure how this is relevant. Are you disputing that there is a group of senior players who are/were of the opinion at one point in time that KP is a bad influence?
Suspect almost everyone in the public will be in KP's corner after this bit of news. Cook's leadership qualities don't amount to much it looks like.Kevin Pietersen's anti-Andy Flower rant was the final nail in his England career - Telegraph
Such a mess. Great gossip though If what is said there is true then it's hard to see what KP did wrong. If you have a meeting like that then players should be free to discuss what they want without fear of recriminations. Just seems people have decided he's to be made the scapegoat for what happened this winter.
Yet Cook is the only survivor out of he, KP and Flower.Suspect almost everyone in the public will be in KP's corner after this bit of news. Cook's leadership qualities don't amount to much it looks like.
Simon Katich. One of the best players of the generation being ditched nonchalantly. Has there been a worst send-off for a better player?
