Haha. I felt like a bit of an idiot when I searched Eoin Morgan on twitter after Fred's post earlier.

You mean like KP who was following it at first.

It's not a clique that disliked KP it was the majority. Hey that's conjecture, but so is saying that there was a clique against him, so what the hey.

Swann still getting the blame I see, when he's nowhere near the team, talk about scapegoats.....
I'm not blaming Swann, there was just a mention of a Swann clique and how it was made up on CW, when actually there was real evidence of a group of senior players who were against KP. You'd be naive to think otherwise.

You can handle a guy like KP if his output gives more to the team than his ****ness. Once that balance is tipped the other way it's time to go. The fact that the managers of the team weren't able to manage the situation so the positives still outweighed the negatives is a poor reflection of:

1. The managers; or
2. KP; or most probably
3. Both.

And anyway, who cares what Matt Prior says or said. He doesn't even play for England any more. May as well seek Ted Dexter's advice on how to go forward.

Don't really think following an account is evidence myself, or not particularly strong, but wasn't Swann not following it, here, Piers broke that story too with his sources, BTW the guy is a big friend of Broads, but said he hardly knew Swann. Which is another reason why I call him a scapegoat, because he's a bit of a knob, perhaps like KP himself.

Stokes and Buttler in the clique too? They weren't even in the Test Squads certainly not a member of a senior clique.

Swann and Broad are clearly quite close, playing their cricket with Notts etc so it's not half obvious they talk about things.

Anyway I'm not sure how this is relevant. Are you disputing that there is a group of senior players who are/were of the opinion at one point in time that KP is a bad influence?

Not on Twitter, so have NFI what's been said or not said on it, but Dom Cork did say on SSN this morning that he'd heard rumours of a physical altercation between Pietersen and Cook during the Sydney test.

I suppose we'll get closer to the truth of the matter as the days and weeks go by.

Not sure they are that close actually, have seen Swanns vid about life at Trent Bridge, and the way he talks about it Broad is in another part of the rooms with the young uns, holding court. Hales a big mate I think. Whilst he hangs with the older guys, don't think they socialise either, b#Broad young free and single, and Swanny with kids.

No idea about any of it really, it's all pure conjecture being put forward as facts, I certainly hadn't heard about it until Morgan started to stir it all up.

Kevin Pietersen's anti-Andy Flower rant was the final nail in his England career - Telegraph

Such a mess. Great gossip though ;) If what is said there is true then it's hard to see what KP did wrong. If you have a meeting like that then players should be free to discuss what they want without fear of recriminations. Just seems people have decided he's to be made the scapegoat for what happened this winter.
Suspect almost everyone in the public will be in KP's corner after this bit of news. Cook's leadership qualities don't amount to much it looks like.

How the **** has Morgan hijacked this. Incredible really. Not a fan at all but the bloke is a machine at what he does.

Hilariously he's also in a controversy in the States re: whether he offended a transgendered guest on his CNN show. Following his Twitter you go from him talking about Pietersen to denying being transphobic and back again to Pietersen in a manner of a couple of tweets..

Yet Cook is the only survivor out of he, KP and Flower.

How often did they bat long enough for fitness to be an issue?

WTF has KP done wrong?

So 1) he doesn't like the coach? So what? Flower has gone.

2) He thinks the players are already fit enough. I agree with him. Seriously Cook what will 1 fitness session change two days before a test match? That smacks of someone who doesn't know what they are doing to me. They should be practicing their skills, not doing fitness drills.
