It's a bit like Eric Morecambe playing Andre Previn on the piano. The right notes but not necessarily in the right order.
Nothing interesting there.. They had to put ATG openers somewhere in the list..Interestingly Hobbs, Gavaskar, Hutton and Sutcliffe occupy consecutive spots. I would have expected Hobbs to be a bit higher.
I agree that Sangakarra and Kallis are too high
Trundler…Its really sad. When I was young, I eemember reading cricket books and really loving Barry Richards. Thanks to CW I kinda hate him now.
So if Steven Smith played only 4 tests , would he make the top 100 ?Of course it is.G Pollock should be too.
Barnes and O'Reilly both played 27 tests and they are clearly in the top 10-12 bowlers of all time.
Barry Richards should be in the top 20 and he only played 4 tests.
Yeah just put in his Ashes series and he’s in hands down!So if Steven Smith played only 4 tests , would he make the top 100 ?
He would if he made the ESPN Legends of Cricket series and was recognised by his peers and others as one of the greatest of all time. Don Bradman picked B Richards in his all-time test XI.So if Steven Smith played only 4 tests , would he make the top 100 ?
Probably because he didn’t average 56 back then…Smith first class average is 56. I don't know why peole say he was a leg spinner when he made his debut. No leg spinner averages 56 with bat.
Even before he averged over 50 in first class. While his bowling average was in 40s.Probably because he didn’t average 56 back then…
If they were the four tests he played in the 2019 Ashes, he very like would. So if Steven Smith played only 4 tests , would he make the top 100 ?
