I have got my hands on a copy of the legendary Jonah Lomu Rugby for PC. However, it is made for DOS/95 and I have XP. I cannot for the life of me work out how to install it and play it. Is it even possible? Any help would be much appreciated.

It's not. I've tried many times and failed miserably.

I searched for things like that before and I found this setup file that you click on and after you do that you can install the game. You have to click on the setup file everytime you want to install an old game though. I was looking for that again on the internet the other day but couldn't find it. It could be on microsofts website.

Neil and I had no luck with DOSBox. But tons of thanks to Neil for trying, really appreciate it. Now I'm going to try to find this setup file Natman speaks of.

Alright, I was just playing around with DOSBox and I am able to run the game. However, it is not full screen but just runs in the DOSBox window which cannot be enlarged. Also, it is really slow and basically unplayable.

What a game though.
Then you can appreciate why I'm so desperate to get it running.

That'll put him in Ward 4.

I hope not Bill, that's the maternity ward

He's digging like a demented mole :D

The kicking, passing and rucking and everything else in that game was brilliant. Best game ever best $10 I ever spent until the old computer packed in. I seriously reckon it's got better gameplay than any other rugby game ever relased. 2001 is quite fun 2 players though!

Give us a yell if you get it working.

If they updated the teams, competitions and increased the AI ability then you would have the perfect rugby game.

As it is I think it is still the best on the market.

IMO -
Jonah Lomu Rugby - 95%
Rugby 2006 - 90%
Rugby Challenge - 75%
Rugby 2005 - 75%
Rugby 2001 - 70%
Stacy Jones Rugby League - 65%
World Championship Rugby - 65%
Rugby League 2 - 50%
Rugby 2004 - 5%

Well, the way it's going at the moment is when you exit you have to install it again every time you want to play it. And now it's not even running at all.

My father sold his first child for that game, such was its awesomeness.
