I disagree with every reason you've given though, which is why I've drawn the conclusions I have. Apart from the Australian coaches thing - I hadn't thought of that - but IMO the phrase "Australian cricketer" is much like "Brazilian footballer" - although Australia are in decline, there's still an unconscious assumption that a player is better for being Australian. I reckon if you put a random County pro up for auction with a random Australian pro with identical stats, there would be more interest in the Australian player simply because of his nationality.
Nah I think it's because there's a lot more Australian influence in the selection procedures.

CHENNAI SUPER KINGS: The heroes' return

Coming in overseas: Morkel, Hussey (when available), Bravo, Hilfenhaus
Strike bowlers: Hilfenhaus, Morkel, Bravo, Ashwin, Jakati?
Top Six: Hussey, Vijay, Dhoni, Raina, Morkel, Badrinath
Behind the wicket: Dhoni and Saha, alternately
Multiple Men: Morkel, Bravo, Ashwin, Jakati, Joginder

They'll need cover for Hussey and Bravo, if unavailable. Scotty and Bailey may be good choices, though Bailey hasn't set the KFC Big Bash afire. Hilfenhaus would be a better choice than Bollinger, given Hilfy's superior T20 stats and Bollinger's not-so-impressive figures, and he just got hammered by Gayle and Marsh in a recent T20 match.

MUMBAI INDIANS: Not so Indian?

Across borders: Symonds, Malinga, Pollard, Clint McKay
Bowling: McKay, Munaf, Malinga, Harbhajan, Pollard
Top Six: Pollard, Tendulkar, Symonds, Rohit Sharma, Rahane?
Behind the wicket: Your guess is as good as mine
Multiple Men: Pollard, Harbhajan

Looking good, but not so much beyond four. Pollard and Bhajji add tremendous balance. Filling the balance batting and keeping is an issue, as also managing Roy.

I'd forgotten about Dimi because he was injured all last year, but he's a good one day player, a good buy.

Seriously, what's going through the idiot's heads by putting up a player than not getting a bid?

Lol, bit excessive:

George Binoy:
Rajasthan stop bidding for Lumb and Deccan buy him for $80,0000
