My friend the coach has a couple of players in it

Iyer is currently up & bidding is at about $3 million

He tells me that he’s the world’s most overrated player and the bidder might as well have set fire to the money

State Captain
Pant goes to Lucknow for 27 CR
Iyer to Punjab for 26.75 CR

Buttler, Starc and Rabada were sold for 10 CR or more and Livingstone could be good value at not much under - joining the RCB circus no less.

Didn’t he skipper a side to the title?

Some weird buys so far. Iyer a massive overpay, and I've got no idea why RCB want jitesh so bad unless there's questions around salts availability? You've already got two good middle order bats in Livingstone and patidar.

Ditto Ishan to sunrisers. Head and abhishek already open and klassan keeps. 11 crore on a backup feels really silly given the money they've already thrown out on retentions.

Surprised Mumbai didn't go balls in on one of the top order keepers. Salt would have been huge for them.

Think RCB’s had a good auction till now. Patidar, Livingstone, Salt and Jitesh good hitters around Kohli. should get a leftie now. Haze also a great pick

Should have got a referral from Lancs... probably worth about $3
Maybe it's Lancashire's problem....

Ponting on Shreyas Iyer

“I think we knew Shreyas, Pant and KL Rahul were going to attract big money. I wanted to work with Shreyas. I've worked with him before and he is a great guy and a great player. He'll be a great leader for our team if we decide to go that way, which I'm pretty sure we probably will. And obviously, he was the championship-winning captain last year. So there are lots of great things about bringing him to Punjab.”

Will be supporting Dehli Capitals with Tristan Stubbs in it. And in SAT20 Sunrisers Eastern Cape, same reason

His career record is average so it’s not a Lancashire problem

$2 million for Stoinis and a guy like Glenn Phillips goes unsold
Always find the fees given to some players baffling. Whereas other guys who are better go unsold or go for peanuts in comparison.

I honestly think there is a certain level of nepotism in selections. As the coaches mainly pick their countrymen as their selections.

See Nuwan Thushara was bought by RCB. He must have been so happy, just got 2-0-18-3 in the T10.

They have also bought Salt, Livingstone, Bethell..
