Every single player is completely overvalued in the IPL. Mostly because the fans want to see the national stars playing for their city, but much of it because many owners are clueless about cricket. In a couple years, when people have a body of work in the IPL from which to judge players, I have no doubt that the finances will much more aligned with actual potential and performance, and not names.
$1 million for Sreesanth is absolutely ludicrous no matter which way you look at it. It's insane. For that price, you could have had:
