This is the first time after IPL1 that I'm a bit excited about IPL...

Actually I like when non-Indian people in London talk about IPL. Yesterday, my British colleague was excited about the MI-KKR match. This is something I like about IPL. It's something Indian which some people outside India get excited about. For all my coldness about T20 cricket, this is something I can't help but appreciate about IPL.

Yuvraj and JP batting at 6 and 7 is just about the dumbest thing ever, play your best bats at the top ffs.. DD deserve to lose just for that reason alone.

I know it's hot out there and the IPL games move pretty quickly, but Albie fielded for 17 overs, bowled 3, and then faced 55 balls. There's no way he should have been anywhere near as tired as he was. It's not like he looks out of shape either. So weird.

I love how the camera just lingered on the CEAT TYRES strategic time out for a good minute with no commentary. This competition becomes more of a sick corporate joke every year.
Why would anyone sponsor a lack of cricket?

P.S. Told you it was an E, PEWS

Who can't hit sixes on those Indians grounds. Most of those grounds are on the smallish side and the rope is also brought in.

But anyway, do any non-Indians here watch the IPL?
Most Asian pitches are slow and low, its not that easy to hit boundaries. Bangalore is an exception, the ground is small and the pitch has true bounce, so there's a runfest every match.

And FYI, Kolkata is a decently sized ground.

And I know you are Dawood's reincarnation on cricketweb.

Have always been a fan of Albie Morkel and Roelof van der Merwe. I don't know what went wrong with these guys, looked extremely promising at one point of time.

Yogesh Golwalkar; a legspinner for KXIP, has a pretty interesting back story. Played in the same A Team tour that saw MSD rise to prominence before quitting cricket to be a banker and amateur cricketer in England. He was contacted by KXIP scouts who saw his videos on Youtube, and now 7 years later at the age of 35 he has returned to professional cricket

Should be interesting to see how he goes.
