Kane has only played 4 tests (7 innings) in SL. He got a genius 100 as a 21/22 year old and has failed in his other 6 knocks (I think he was exhausted physically and psychologically in the 2019 series as it came just after the heartbreak of the 2019 World Cup).
Rational points but to be fair Latham was also part of that campaign and he scored a century in SL. Think Inzy is better than Kane against spin.

Williamson needs to massively lift his game away from home. The only non-terrible side he has a good record against overseas is Pakistan. It stands out as an awful hole in his CV even in a comparison with Inzi who wasn't amazing overseas himself.
His record in Australia isn't too bad IIRC, though I'm pretty sure he only scored runs on mega roads here.

Brisbane 2015 was arguably his best overseas knock. It was on a pitch where Australia made 550-4 so obviously a decent strip but nobody can bowl in Australia except India and South Africa. Failed in the second series which was the better attack though. Think his record against Aus/SA is sufficient enough to say he is better against high pace than Inzy nevertheless.

Yeah that's because that's all that was produced between about 2001 and about 2017.

Cricket in Australia between those dates should probably be excluded from serious debates, like performances against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

This is a good comparison based on multiple factors. I think Inzimam was part of a weaker middle order when he made his name in World cricket. So I would go with him.
