Invent a new Olympic event

Watching Biles' amazing display on the floor this evening (and the beam), I could see the tumbling/somersaults fitting in as a track and field event.

Just the tumbling element of the floor routines.

They do long jump, high jump, pole vault. So why not somersaults?

Do it like the high jump, but you have to do a somersault, or two somersaults, or whatever.

What else could we could up with as a new Olympic event?

I'd love a big multi sport relay:

400m on the track, 200m freestyle in the pool, maybe a BMX lap, canoe slalom and maybe some rowing.

Difficult to get all the timed/race events in given either how different the lengths of time are, or the difficulties of people starting before others (e.g. track cycling)

The long jump with a somersault/front flip after take off was actually banned after someone did it. Too dangerous, but it would help them jump further.

Not very creative, but I want to see straight track 150 meter sprints. 100m is too short to make for exciting racing and 200m is spoiled by the staggered start and bend. 150m sprinting is the sweet spot.

Perhaps add a stretch of Hang Tough from Gladiators.

As I said in another thread, Stare Outs. Thought I might even have a chance in this as I can definitely go a number of minutes without blinking, but I see the world record is an hour and 31 minutes. I could see various techniques - just the hard stare, the distraction attempts. Could be quite good theatre.

Yeah I thought I was good until I saw what the specialists were doing.
