Whatever it takes!!!
yay @ another contribution. bigger yay @ another win.

Also, how come I didn't take a single catch. Come on CW bowlers, get the batsmen to nick behind more :)

Dong, Capone and Dean leading the way with the ball.. REMOVED, Narang, Ballich and Winne with the bat = awesome

Another quality win.

Will be interesting to see if I make it back into the team after injury. Obviously I hope so, but the team comes first.

2nd Test vs Bangladesh

CW made two changes for the second Test, VVS Noble and Zohaib Ikram making their Test debuts, Hing and the injured Winne missing out. Bangladesh won the toss and batted on a good pitch.

Capone made two early breakthroughs in an opening spell of 9-2-20-2. The tourists looked to be making a steady recovery until Saleh was once again bowled just before the lunch break.

Bangladesh subsided in the afternoon session, Tushar Imran's 30 from 82 the only real innings of length amongst a collapse. Dean was the main threat with three wickets, and Noble and Ikram picked up wickets on debut as the tenth wicket fell for 198.

The score looked all to familar to Bangladesh and once again CW got to the close of play for the loss of only Heads, this time for 26. The home side reached stumps on 101/1. Rafique slowed CW's progress with the wickets of REMOVED and Ballich in the morning session, but the hosts took the lead comfortably thanks to a stand of 228 between Narang and Spark.

Both men had racked up centuries before Narang was bowled to end a fabulous 193. Spark played a poor shot to be dismissed just before the close, but by then CW had stretched their lead to 278, still with 5 wickets in hand.

Ikram was run out early on day three, but Dharan was able to push forward the advantage with an attacking half-century before being dismissed. Noble and Capone were able to further embarrass the tourists as the score passed 600, and CW declared midway through day three with a colossal lead of 446.

the Bangladeshis showed much more persistance in their second innings, opener Aftab Ahmed compiling partnerships of 71 with Javed Omar (b Noble for 27) and 101 with Nafees Iqbal. Dean was again the man to break through with the two big wickets and Ikram struck just before the new ball to take the fourth wicket.

Iqbal fought a lone battle, his dogged century coming as CW continued to chip away, five wickets coming in the session. He held the bowlers off until the final over before tea on day four, becoming the ninth man out and Dean's 5th wicket of the innings. His 113 had come from 305 balls, and Dean soon took the last wicket to complete the crushing win.

CW won by an innings and 148 runs

MotM - Ishan Narang

After an ODI series, we head off for a 3-Test tour of India.

CW are now ranked 7th in Tests and 4th in ODIs.

Bharani Dharan and Ishan Narang are the 4th and 5th ranked Test batsmen in the world. Mark Dean is the number 3 bowler, and Al Capone is ranked ninth.

In ODIs, Dharan is ranked third in the batting while John Heads is ranked 8th. Our best ODI bowler is Robert Hing at number 11.

Awesome stuff. REMOVED, Dean and Capone continue to impress but Spark and Narang were something else.. Hope we can keep up this form against the better sides though :)

The Tiger King
Al Capone is the left arm genuine quick bowler who can swing the ball in both directions (read as Wasim)
