1st ODI vs India

Playing XI: REMOVED, Heads, Dharan, Spark, Riley, Ikram, Winne, Corrin, Hing, Capone, Plegm

CW lost the toss and were put in to bat on what looked like a flat deck. After a steady start, the openers had accelerated to 50 after 10 overs before REMOVED fell lbw. The second wicket stand repeated this, CW on 102 after 20 as Heads was dismissed.

The innings was then built on a run-a-ball 84 from Dharan, as well as lower order hitting from Ikram and Winne, as CW reached 250 with six overs to go. However, the aggression lead to a lower-order collapse, and all 10 wickets were lost by the last over. CW were restricted to 263 all out.

Capone got the early wicket of Gambhir but was expensive in his opening spell, going for 25 off four overs. Winne replaced him and immediately broke through, getting Tendulkar with his first ball, and he made his first over a wicket maiden.

Virender Sehwag had hit 46 off 36 when he nicked Winné behind, and REMOVED took a spectacular diving catch at point to dismiss Laxman two balls later. The allrounder's figures read 4-2-10-3. Hing entered the fray with another maiden, and the pressure got to Kambli as he was run out. India had stumbled to 92/5 in the 21st over.

Corrin removed Deshpande soon after, and when Winné returned his first over back took two more scalps, reaching five wickets and removing the last chance of defeat. Kumble became Winné's sixth victim - at this point his figures were 6-16 - and Capone returned to take the final wicket, completing a crushing win.

CW won by 108 runs.

2nd ODI vs India

Ballich replaced Ikram for the second ODI as CW elected to bowl first.

This looked like an error early on as Inida hit 54 runs without loss after the first 10 overs. Turning to spin early, Corrin had Rowland lbw and Tendulkar caught in the deep to peg the scoring back, but India were still well-placed on 116/2.

While the scoring was restricted at one end - Dravid and Kambli both striking at less than 50 for their small contributions - Sehwag was relentless as he powered his way to a century. CW were fortunate to starve the opener of the strike as he finished on 128 not out from 110 balls, lifting his team to 247/6.

REMOVED fell early in reply, but Heads and Dharan kept well up with the rate during their partnership of 85. When Heads fell for 55 in the 22nd over, Spark siezed back the initiative with four fours in a row the following over. CW were right on top at 147/2 in the 28th over.

However, when Spark was bowled for a run a ball 30, Riley departed for a duck three balls later. The stumble soon turned into a collapse at the hands of Kumble and Harbhajan, and out of nowhere the visitors found themselves relying on the bowlers at 159/6.

When the last batsman Ballich hit Kumble to square leg, the game was up. Limping to 198 all out, CW had seemingly brought defeat on themselves.

India won by 49 runs

In ODIs REMOVED averages 26, SR 75, and Narang averages 34 but with a SR of 64.

In Tests, REMOVED averages 38 and Narang 61.

Everyone has a fairly low ODI strike rate. ODIs are just a bit lower scoring than in reality overall, I think.

Was about to say I'd been sick since my comeback... 92 and a 4-fer in the Test, a 6-fer in the ODI... then that happened.

Not Terrible
I need to widen the gap between myself and REMOVED in Tests, pretty safe for now in ODIs.
