stephen bringing the coldest of hot takes. Basically the southern hemisphere's Corrin, he's that bad.

The ALP was founded about 120 mteres from my front door. There's nowhere more historically Labor than Balmain. It's the working class heartlands, and precisely where you'd expect a battler from the western suburbs like me to find themselves after they've made the most of their very considerable talents.
Is this a Betoota Advocate post?

Now Burgey is subtly reminding us that while he identifies as a labor man he's really a Howard battler at heart.

All jokes aside, I never really understood tying your (as in the general you, not specifically Burgey) identity to a political party unless you're one day going to run for office.

On a topic far more serious, I enjoy beer, wine and spirits. All depending on the time/ mood of course.

Nothing beats a beer after a hard day working on the house or playing cricket. Wine goes nicely with dinner. Scotch goes nicely in the evening before bed.

Yes, a beer after a long day on the cricket field can be a very refreshing thing indeed. Given I no longer play, however, I don't really have a reason to imbibe.

Haha I’m flattered mate but I have to run the young bloke around to wherever he’s playing

Plus I really old and don’t really do fielding any more.

Any recommendations?
Colonial Brewing's South West Sour is my go to at the moment. Can't go wrong with Balter for the DIPA either, but the best way to go is to buy a bunch of singles and find something you like. IPA's are all a little different. My fave Double was the limited run Supersonic Rainforest Lime DIPA from Nomad Brewery, but it's pretty hard to find at this point.
