Is this only the 2nd time a team has been so dominant in a WC? 1st being of course Oz on 2007. Were the WI ever this dominant?

In 79 WI won every match they played convincingly but one game with SL was washed out.

In 75 WI won all the games they played but one game with Pak was extremely close with WI winning with 2 balls to spare.

But the caveat with those WC is that they have significantly less matches than 2007 and 2023 WC.

The law of averages is playing its tricks.

We are amazing right now but not sure if we've matched the Aussie level of invincibility.
Aussie invincibility was based on you know, them being actually that much better than anyone else and even more importantly, them knowing and playing like they were that much better than anyone else. It wouldn’t have mattered where the tournament was played. We don’t have anywhere near that aura…and we are not invincible even at home.

That could be debatable. In the recent times we have won comfortably at home, but yeah the mental block teams had when playing in Australia was never the same as when they played us at home even during our peak.

Ok let me put it this way. In tests we have been near invincible at home for some time now although we needed a lot of luck to sneak past the Aussies in the last series. One dayers are different. Our team has been excellent so far in this tournament but we are not unbeatable in the format. Also we are traditionally wobbly in knockout matches and NZ, Aus, SA and maybe even Pakistan have the team to beat us if we show the slightest weakness.

Infracted!

You are forgetting that Bumrah is back, but more importantly Shami has hair. These are not Jamodis and India's bowling unit is a thing of beauty.
