Lack of truly great options at 6 was a bit surprising to me. Sobers was a very OP pick.
Ya there are no great batsmen at 6 (except Sobers). So, I knew it has to be an all-rounder. And if I have to pick an all-rounder at 6, then the keeper should be a very good batsman. That's why I started the draft with Gilchrist and Botham.

Was gonna grab Dougie Walters last round at 6 but turned out he's a 5.

Yeah, it truly is the spot the rookie starts his career and works his way up from I suppose, unless you're an AR like Sobers. I felt like it was a good number to "waste" a wicketkeeper spot with, as it's accepted most of the great keepers will average under 40 anyway.

I was also surprised at how much better the quality of number 1 openers was than number 2 openers.

True. I saw only Sutcliffe, Sehwag and Hayden are at number 2 among great openers. So, I decided to snatch the third one as soon two of them are grabbed by others.
