Imagine the hype if Flintoff produced the kind of knock Afridi just did.

Nah, if they're not then I apologise but IBH is using the same IP as all the trolls.
Nah no way, looking back through IBH's posts, there are no similarities.

I would like administrators to investigate this as i firmly believe this is a complete lie as neither am i using other ID nor is it possible for anyone to use my IP address.

we wouldnt hear the end of it. "freddies greatest one day knock" here and "freddie the saviour" there. i would say it would be a comparison to every knock by an englishman in ODIs for years in the future if freddie had done similar deeds. Ok, it would have been an impressive knock if he had of done it.

yeh thanks man, if i bowled to Gilchrist, he'd be capable of it too. Do you want a cookie for being so smart?

8-)

I mean seriously come on, do you just pull anything out of ur..umm hat, to try and win an argument?
I saw a stupid post, I replied sarcastically to it.

Hoggard was just as hopeless in 2004-05 as he was in 01/02 despite the billion times that he claimed that he could be the 'workhorse' and do an 'angus fraser' job for his country. The only reason it went unnoticed in 04/05 was because it was covered up by the likes of Harmison, Flintoff, Jones and even to an extent Giles. We saw this in the Ashes of 05 when he bowled considerably less than the rest of the bowlers until the conditions suited him.
Seriously, how often did he compare himself to Angus Fraser? The only people I heard making that comparison were onlookers.

As for Harmison bowling well in 2004\05... are you completely out of your head? In 5 Tests he bowled half-decently once, got 1 wicket in another and could quite easily have got 0 in the last 3 but for unneccessarily delayed declarations.

And if you think he never bowled well at all in calender-year 2004, you're forgetting about half the Tests there. Which compares pretty favourably with 2001-2002-2003, when he bowled well on 3 or 4 occasions at best.

Taking quoting yourself to whole new levels.
I've always thought IBH is far more likely the be another ajaagarkarajaaja, cozmiccoyoete, GladiatrsInBlue, hindmaatujesalam, jaspalsinghrana, mayadevi, muralilal, nehrafan, onemangang, sheerindianspeed, vandemataram, wahindiawah or yohanna.

Are you taking about the South Africa series he didn't bowl well in?
Yep.

And to second what Rob said a few days ago... PLEASE, learn to use the quote function properly! Stop deleting the "[/QUOTE] part! It's not a problem for me because I know how to re-correct the thing, but with some people it can cause a whole chain of problems!

Why was it so stupid mate?

In INTERNATIONAL world cricket, how many batsman are capable of making 100 of 37 (or even close?)

ok, 77 off 35? Sure, maybe some batsman has done it once... but afridi has done similar things on several occasions.

So he indeed is unique

I absolutely gurantee you, if you picked some random club batsman for internationals often enough he'd manage it a few times, too.

Managing such innings is no big feat when you're scoring countless single-figure stupid-dismissal ones in between.

And most people wouldn't be given such an absurd number of opportunities as Afridi has. Unquestionably the worst player ever to play 200 ODIs - and possibly the worst to play 100, unless Ricardo Powell managed it.

Yes it was a briiliant innings but remember Pakistan weren't exactly in trouble when he came in and with Mo Yo batting so well he had a blank cheque to hit out or get out .If Pakistan and England were say 90-4 with Freddie and Afridi coming in I know what one I'd trust more to bail the team out of trouble.(especiallly if Fred wasn't captain. Fred's average is 10 points higher - the difference between them is Afridi hasn't matured -he plays the same crap shots as he did when he started whereas Fred discovered responsibility.

Good fielder, good bowler, often devastating batsman in ODIs (to be fair, often useless too)... I very much doubt he's one of the worst to play 100 ODIs.

Really so a batting average of 22 really stands up to much.........Decent bowler mind you.And how is he "often" a devastating batsmen.Once in a blue moon on roads with no seam or swing and a deplited attack coming it in at 222-4 when he can really launch. These are the only situations where he can be truly devastating.
