If you can improve/change one thing about CW?

Make a minimum of characters used. Which will mean less pointless post which our just a smilie. I know I've done that a few times but I'm always tryong to improve my posts.

Doesn't achieve anything, if it's a minimum of 6 characters all you'd get is the smiley and 5 full stops.

An automerge feature for two posts by the same member made in quick succession would be a massively helpful addition.

Nah, disagree TBH. ;)

In seriousness, I've never been in favour of what basically amounts to posting multiple posts within the same post, as lumping 3 or 4 completely unconnected replies in with others makes it harder for the people concerned to respond.

There was actually a time, during the so-called "Wave Of Repression" (2006) when Towns merged posts a few times, and there were plenty of people who weren't happy.

What's more, most people don't like posts with more than a couple of sections of quote in them. :dry:

The system has been in place for as long as I can remember at planetcricket and there has not ever been a single complaint. It just takes about a month of getting used to.

A month CWers wouldn't be happy with.

And TBH, judging by the reactions of the time, I doubt they'd be happy after a month either. I certainly wouldn't.
