Add 23 to that list of scores. Came in at 170-4 with 10 overs left, scored 23 off about 20 balls in the slogfest.

Then took 1-0-2-1 as the opposition's best bat top edged a full toss.

We made 227, they made 69. Our opener batted for 36 overs for 24, then took 1-1-0-2, tailenders of course!
Good stuff.

Your opener - was he the captain?

I have been rather chuffed with my week of cricket :D

In two matches, my figures are

14 - 2 - 44 - 11

All my eleven wickets have been bowled...

I also scored 38 again today against the top team in the division.. and we still lost

I am averaging 9 with the ball this season

I have spent most of today hardly able to move myself after bowling two hours of Harmison-line-and-length medium pace at our juniors last night.

Teaches me not to warm up properly.

Did much much better when bowling on the turf pitches with good line and length and often drift away from the batsmen...looking good for the trials.

Also surprised myself by fielding excellently, trials starting this wednesday, just finished filling out my my application form.

Yesterday I also bowled on some of our cement nets.....

After bowling on turf I concluded the following:

Cement pitches are just hell to bowl on if you are a seamer, they give batsmen an unfair advantage over us poor poor fast bowlers...but do help spinners because they get good bounce out of them.

Leave the Harmison gags to the duck

Aaargh..........
.....................
.....................

Badly twisted my knee..... now my high hopes for selection for the national U-19 team are severely hampered.....

maaan , I'm getting really depressed :( :( , Its no good half limping half running to field the ball in a trial.... I picked the worst time to twist my knee, tomorrow are the trials, and had it been twisted the day after I would've had chance to recover.........

Bad luck.

Ice - and plenty of it. If you can get away with wearing a knee brace, that might be a good idea too.

I feel for you - I know everything about missing international events because of knee injuries.

At yesterday's U-19 camp, I was bowling in the nets when the manager and coach of the National Oman Senior team came in to have a look, it just so happens that yesterday I was finding my rythm, he called me up after practice to tell me he's impressed by what he saw and that he would want me on the team, I might even get a chance to play on the team in a friendly or two .......:O :O

1-0-7-0 and 10 against Warwickshire before I got a good one. Dead pitch and a stupidly fast outfield, damn. Hehehe don't read too much into my bowling, I'm bowling with a seized up lower back and tendonitis in my left (bowling) shoulder. Oppo coach said I saved at least 30 runs in the field.

Not too bad even though we lost then :P
