First season with Arsenal done.
Finished in 3rd. Man Utd won the league easily. Margin of about 12 points. Chelsea just pipped me to 2nd, and City in 4th. Won the Europa League fairly easily, sweeping aside Nice 3-0 in the final.
Other highlights of the season included Liverpool being awful, finishing 15th, and sacking both Klopp and Marco Silva in the same season. They've now poached Brentford's (who have just been promoted) manager.
The £100m Lemar had a great season. About 15 goals in the league and 12 assists. Lacazette eventually turned it on a bit as well, but a very disappointing return for Giroud who only managed 2 goals in 30 league appearances. His lack of form was so bad he was actually dropped eventually, even with Laca out injured, with Reine-Adelaide and Iwobi playing up front instead. Welbeck was of course injured for nearly the entire season after doing his cruciate. And Walcott was sold to Newcastle in Jan for £30m (lol).
Couldn't talk Mertesacker out of retirement, so he will be gone soon. Mustafi and Koscielny a perfectly good first choice pairing, but worried about Holding and Chambers as reserves. Holding is fine ability wise, but ideally would like to get another experienced centre back. Not many who are available, good enough, and affordable though.
Summer signings so far: Coutinho in from the disgraced Liverpool for £75m. Kasper Dolberg from Ajax for £40m. And Kieran Tierney from Celtic for £34m.
