The transfer fees the AI expects in this game are ridiculous. I tried to sign Criscito tonight, and Juventus wanted 15mil and Genoa 28.5mil (GBP). And these are straight-up fees btw, because he's co-owned. Only the Portuguese league players are available for reasonable rates at the beginning.
On the other hand, the AI just refuses to pay over the estimated value for my players. Or it wants to loan players all the frickin' time, and even if they spend a season there, and the club matches the future fee clause with an offer, they'll just offer a ****house contract that my player will reject, and then I'll have to loan him out again.
I have Cahill sitting in my reserves because no club will pay 4mil for him.

Low valuations of players hack me off big time as well. In my Lazio game Carrizo had become nearly the best GK in the world and was getting an average rating of about 8.2 over the course of a season, and as such I had all the big clubs wanting him, but his valuation stayed at around the £3m mark, and so the offers I received were in the £4m range. Of course selling a goalkeeper that good for such a price would be suicide, as I couldn't buy a replacement half as good for that price, and in the meantime he is getting pissed off because he wants out, and his performances subsequently plummet.The transfer fees the AI expects in this game are ridiculous. Haha I have him too, Barcelona tried a similar trick as well. Everyone keeps offering about £3m for Stefan Radu as well, and as a result of all these players getting annoyed the squad harmony is down and the board and blaming me for this, gah.Real Madrid tried to sign Di Maria off me for 500k upfront and 4.5mil over 48 months.This after a season where he was one of my best players.
And now the **** is unhappy, but he'll HTFU soon enough, I suppose.

Yeah, Citeh and Sunderland will bid for anything you transfer list in the first transfer window. After that, it's hellish.
If you have the Portuguese league selected as playable, you should be able to land some absolute bargains from there. I signed Veloso, Di Maria and Cardozo for a combined total of 15mil over 48 months. Nearly had Moutinho too, but Citeh poached him from under my nose.

I had di Maria on loan and I asked Benfica, how much do they want for me to buy him out right, and Benfica came in and say they wanted £1.3m. You beauty, I snapped him up. Tried to sign Rafael van der Vaart, but the **** wouldn't sign, but was happy to join me on loan 
Juan Mata has come back from his stint in the Ukraine, and Real Madrid declared interest and told them to GAGF, and Mata had a cry, and I told him he is not going anywhere, and then for some reason he just HTFU. I sold Adriano to Tottenham because he was just a cry-baby ****. Got injured and he couldn't settle into the area and just wanted to leave.
Got Valencia to 4th spot and the final of the Spanish Cup where I got trounced 4-0 by Real Madrid. David Villa scored 43 goals in one season for me, despite missing about 5 months of football through injuries
Got the European Golden Boot obvs.
Managing the Ivory Coast at the 2010 WC and I lost to the Czech Republic, beat the USA 1-0, and now I have Argentina in my final group game.

Makes no difference, he then just get's annoyed that I am pricing him out of the market and the low offers keep rolling in.

Get ridiculously tempted to add manager and play every player out of position whenever they get to a final. Capello always leaves Feo out of the final squad despite using him in every qualifier in my games. Piss off Fabio.
In other news I restarted and somehow made the CL Final, my semi against Sevilla and quarter against Utd both went to shootouts where Almunia saved my ass but that defence isn't cutting it. Finished second on 81 points only to see Chelsea amass 97 points.
My squad is the same one I started with(as I turned first window budgets off) any of the Gooners got some finds that really improve your squad. Really want to hunt these ****s down next season. Got my hole invaded 3-1 at Stamford Bridge and Drogba scored 2 goals in the 83rd and 89th minute to beat me 2-1 at the Grove. Hate them, hate them, hate them.
