Hidden Objective Draft

Alphabetical order?
Yeah. Was keen to pick Faulkner and hope Flower would last, but then thought he (Flower) would get picked (pun with Flower/Dad joke), so decided to get a better specialist spinner than Faulkner (already had Border as a 2nd spinner). I then picked WG hoping to get Headley but he was already picked unfortunately.

Also in hindsight I should've picked Curtly Ambrose first and hoped Barnes would last to round 2, although Barnes-Davidson-Donald is still a very good pace trio.

The full list of objectives was:

  • Howe - Back to Front - your draft XI must bast in reverse alphabetical order
  • hb - Well I'm stumped - all of the players you draft must have been out stumped at least twice in test matches
  • Trundler - A wise old man once said "Knockout cricket is what really matters" - All of the players you draft must have won a Cricket World Cup
  • BoyBrumby - Lack of originality - Each player you draft must have played for the same test nation as the draft pick made before yours
  • Himmanv - Bigger number, better bowler - Your draft XI must bat in order from least to most test caps
  • Pothas - Inzamam Memorial XI - Each of the players you draft must have been run out at least 4 times in test cricket
  • Mags - Two minds are better than one, eleven minds are better than two - each player you draft must have captained a game of international cricket
  • The artist now known as Jarquis - Timing is everything - Each player you draft must have made their test debut after the debut of the previous player you drafted.
  • CricAddict - Distributed Decade Domination - Each of your players must have made their test debut in a different decade
  • AndrewB - Inauspicious start - In both innings of their debut, any players you draft must have scored less than 10 runs and taken at most 1 wicket
  • Bitmap - I can't even - all of your batsmen must have an odd number of total test runs, and an odd high score. All of your bowlers must have an odd number of test wickets and an odd number of wickets taken in their best bowling figures. Any all rounders must have both.
  • Fuler Pilch - It's easy as A,B,C - You must draft your players in alphabetical order
  • ankitj - What even is BazBall anyway? - All of the players you draft must have a strike-rate of less than 45 in test matches
  • ataraxia - There at the beginning, there at the end - Each player you draft must have played in the debut or last match for the previous player you drafted
  • Teuton - Home track bullies - All of the batsmen you draft must have an away test batting average of less than 42. All of the bowlers you draft must have an away test bowling average of more than 32. Any all rounders you draft must meet this criteria but must also have an away bowling average that is higher than their away batting average.
  • GIMH - "Look Sledger, I've solved racism" - You must alternate between drafting SENA players and non-SENA players. Your draft XI must also bat in alternating order of SENA and non-SENA players.
