Crazy if true.He is alive . Olonga confirmed on Twitter
It is a quote from Mark Twain from when there were false reports that he had died. How can news or rumours of someone's demise be "exaggerated" ?
Not sure it was a news organisation. I first saw it on Zimbabwe cricket fan pages, and a few Zimbabweans posting about it - then got picked up by Zimbabwean news and spread from there.Wait....what?
So was this just one news organisation playing an awful hoax?
Well brother everyone will die eventually, so it can be exaggerated cause it's definitely going to happen. How can news or rumours of someone's demise be "exaggerated" ?
Story I read is that he was being treated in SANot sure it was a news organisation. I first saw it on Zimbabwe cricket fan pages, and a few Zimbabweans posting about it - then got picked up by Zimbabwean news and spread from there.
As I say, he has been ill. So it wouldn't have been a shock to those who knew him (like Olonga) to see it. There were tributes flowing from all over the place.
I believe he lives in a remote part of Zimbabwe, already a country not blessed with extensive communications services. So he wouldn't have responded immediately.
