Sehwag equally isn't the undisputed greatest Asian conditions bat of all time. I could make a case for loads of other players.

However, he is clearly one of the greatest ever in Asian conditions. And that point of difference factor gives him a distinguished, understandable advantage and argument over these two.

But for me personally, I tend to prefer versatile players. Especially when ability in conditions where the ball laterally moves is an important examination of an opening bat.
Sehwag's technique and style of play that made him so awesome in SC directly made him a liability in swinging conditions since he couldn't adjust for lateral movement.

Why doesn't Rabada have a case if you don't differentiate between home and away?
i am not saying I don’t distinguish. Im saying when there are great outliers in home performance that has to be given consideration. I don’t consider Rabada an outlie, whereas I consider Sehwag an outlier.

Who is better in Asia for you amongst Sehwag, Tendulkar, Gavaskar, Miandad and Younis?

I’d take Sanga over Jaya in Asia.
Mahela was the better player of spin imo and he dominated SA at home so it wasn't as though he was still a liability against pace in Asia. It was the extra lateral movement outside Asia that troubled him. Obviously Sanga is ahead there by a bigger margin.

Yea would take Mahela over Sanga on a rank turner

Think if Cook had his home tests anywhere in Asia, I could see an average of 50. In Sehwag/Sanga/Younis' exact same tests for example, I don't see why not. Flatter Asian decks were perfect for him, and he was a very decent player on turning wickets.

Probably not in Kohli/Pujara's time though. They've had a very tough overseas schedule.
