Happy birthday Jimmy

International Coach
Just how good is Jimmy? At 35, he was averaging 28 and many seem to rate him as if he is still averaging around that much. He is pulling Hadlee/McGrath like numbers since turning 35. Didn't break it down with and without clouds though, so idk.
Yeah I can't think of many cricketers let alone bowlers who entered in the ATG discussion past their 35th birthday mostly ATG status is secured by the time you are 35 very few would call Jimmy an ATG in 2017

Since his 30th birthday, the bloke has taken 389 wickets at 23.60. That is more wickets than full career Marshall, Waqar, Lillee, Donald etc.

Also, the only cricketer in history to play 100 or more tests since his 30th birthday:-O

Edit: There is Alec Stewart too, who played 100 tests post 30th birthday.

Geoff Chubb
It's funny how Geoff Chubb (1911-1982) and Derek Sealy (1912-1982) were almost exact contemporaries, but the slightly younger Sealy made his Test debut 21 years before Chubb; especially with Chubb being a fast bowler. There were players born after Sealy's debut who played Tests before Chubb did.

Hines Johnson of the WI was another 40-year-old fast bowler to play a Test in the 50s. He took 10-96 on his Test debut aged a mere 37.

Afaik, it happened 5 years back around this time. He has taken 177 wickets at 21.39 in 47 matches from then on. The guy has been ****ing crazy.

Name a stadium after him and he will average 15.
Out of curiosity, does anyone know when the Brian Lara Pavilion at the Queen's Park Oval was named?

A quick google search comes up short for me.

Cricketer Of The Year
True legend is sir James. Big question is can he just go one more year for a final dig in the ashes? many no doubt will be hoping so.
Happy birthday Jimmy...life begins at 40!
