Bad performance to finish off the 20/20's, Gotta improve if we want to go far into the finals

Wow, What a thriller. The poor first innings(where Hodge ripped through our middle order) cost us the game. We looked gone in the second until Bassano and Goddard played brilliantly to put on 171 for the 7th wicket, Bassano's innings was outstanding and Goddard played very well and maturely for his maiden FC hundred. Dean bowled awesomely in the second innings and was well backed up by Razzaq.

I am pretty sure my wife who knows nothing about cricket, and has never played ICC2005, could do better with Derbyshire. I mean Razzaq and Bevan, surely you could have signed some more influential players and why let so many players go. Have you read the instructions?

Well, Aren't you a cool one..

First of all, Derbyshire are a struggling club in real life and are the worst team in the game also. So playing with them was never going to be easy. The reason i let so many players go is that they had been given their chance and had not performed, So i decided to rebuild with younger players(I have 50k invested in the youth team this season). I tried signing players but they knock back your offer because they want to sign for more sucessful, 1st division clubs.

And last of all, Its just a game.

Into the semi finals :D Razzaq bowled fantastically, and he backed it up with the bat also. Great Performance from the boys

I think its absolutley wonderful you have taken a really poor team and turned them into a really really really poor team. Not only that but you have put it on display for all to see. I am really enjoying the read though, I love it when you lose by loads and then say we got bowled out going for the win, pure class.

The one thing that has amazed me is that you haven't been offered the England job? Do they not recognise class!

You make sure you make me eat my words by taking the county championship, go hoggy. I am behind you 100%. (in all seriousness though, reading the instructions might not be a bad idea)

A bit uncalled for there. The game is hardly easy, I'm doing much worse with a better team!

Keep it up Nick.

TBH Hoggy has done the right thing IMO. In ICC2002 I did the same thing with middlesex. Got rid of most of my squad, rebuilt and focused on youth. I was champions in both forms of the game by 2005. But 2002-2004 were terrible years. I won 3 games total between 2002-2003.
