It is not Lahm in midfield that is the problem, is is the lack of Lahm at full-back.
Which like I said, wouldn't be as much of an issue if not for the strange refusal of Löw to actually play any of his other fullbacks...

Just wish Ghana had beaten Germany yesterday, this group would have been great going into the last round of games.

It's funny that there has been so much talk about the heat and humidity, but it's the players being so shagged at the end of the games that has allowed so many late goals and great games.

Portugal really don't look like a team that's about to go out of the World Cup in the first round. They may yet equalise I suppose (sincerely hope not) but there is something really pedestrian about them.
