The storm over the last few days was a bit unusual. While daily rain this time of year is normal, it usually lasts about 30 minutes, clears up and leaves sunny skies in its wake. Even Hurricanes are typically one day events. This was a 3-4 day storm. High level outdoor sporting events happen all the time throughout Florida.
Yeah it is very unfortunate, it looks like it is raining non stop for all the WC T2O matches there.

They should have hosted some of the matches in San Diego where I lived when I was Stateside.

It is unfortunate. I'm just happy to see cricket here. I fell in love with the game 40 yrs ago in NZ, but have seen none of it until i found last years ODI World Cup on ESPN. Three weeks ago I knew more players from NZ, OZ, India, Pakistan, SA and Afghanistan than I did from the US. I certainly did not expect us to get out of the group stage. Now I know most of the players and am excited about the super 8s. It's been fun.

ESPN also shows Windies home games as well.

Congratulations USA.

Thank God this pathetic team are out. Did not deserve to go through to the next round. Have just been playing awful cricket for some time now.

There needs to be a proper rebuild. The worst part is that I am not hopeful that any lessons will have been learnt and we will see more of the same garbage in a month's time.

I don’t think there is any problem at all at the National level. The problem has always been, for Pakistan (and for India until recently), all the levels below the top level. A level of professionalism, fitness, fielding, etc have never been required with a minimum standard expected for everyone to make the side. Until you have that; the team will always be mercurial because you’ll always have talent that will get you crazy, impossible, against the odds wins - but will lack discipline, which will get you crazy, completely embarrassing losses - and inconsistency. You can play musical chairs all you want at the top level, but it’ll never get better (consistently) until the fundamentals get better.

Pak had a very professional set up under Rameez and Imran. The problem was those two seemed to be more interested in somehow being "better than India" than just better. You gotta set up for your own success, not for someone else's failure.

What a waste of space Ireland cricket team. Irish government should tell them to **** off and play with the traffic next time they cry about lack of money, absolute disgrace to the nation IMO.

If you doing better than India you are in top 2 best teams in the world, this way of thinking caused Pakistan to win Champions Trophy

Watching how abysmal Ireland are here, I feel fairly certain USA would’ve beaten them anyway.

They’ve been nearly as bad as the likes of Uganda and Oman.

Pakistan need to start from scratch in T20s. The upside is the core bowling line up is (a) good and (b) young which means part of the equation is salvageable. The batting however is a joke - technically crap and mentally shot. IDK Pakistan's domestic scene well but there must be young guys under 23 who have intent and some technical ability. Better to fill 1-7 with new faces - if Babar and Rizwan (as wkt) must play then stick them in the middle order. You can have 1 accumalator in T20 cricket - an insurance policy, not a bunch of them.

2 young openers who attack, a Pakistani Phil Salt for instance. Aggressive MO bats, something like an AR who can hit a long ball and give Pakistan a few overs. Better to lose for awhile with your as you build towards 2026, 2028 than wallow in dung.

Was disappointed to see Pakistan suck lemons this WC. WI have turned a corner and I hope Pakistan can to.

Don't normally watch LO stuff, but those two wickets back to back were brilliant. That was some Wasim level ****.
